Fingers were well and truly crossed for good weather and although the grass was extremely wet the sun came out to shine on the gathering hoard. A photo is taken on the main school field every five years, therefore every single student is in at least one whole school picture. For Years 12 and 13, this photo was the second taken of them, however for every other year, it was the first. The day consisted of much debating as to who was taller than whom; students as well as staff were told to line up from tallest to shortest. There was murmuring amongst the students as to which teacher might end up at the end of the line but as the saying goes, “good things come in small packages”. This was followed by the systematic positioning of pupils and teachers on to the somewhat bafflingly quickly assembled stand for the picture itself. The photos showcase changes in some students as they have moved up through the years at Henry’s, and changes in the staff personnel as years go by. They provide a good record of who attended the school and an interesting impression on how things have changes at school. The next picture, following the tradition of one photo every five years, is scheduled to be taken in the school year 2020/21. This one will feature the current Year 7 and 8, along with all of the other members who will join the school community. It will be interesting to see how the students have grown and which teachers have more grey hair. 2015 To 2016 | 9
